South Caicos is blessed with direct access to the deep open waters of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and south, and also to the calm shallows of the Caicos Bank to the west and north.
The deeper waters of the Atlantic provide a playground for open water sailing, yachting, parasailing, wind and kite surfing, as well as great whale-watching, snorkeling, diving and deep-sea fishing.
On the calm and shallow waters of the Caicos Bank, one can go sea-kayaking and explore the unique vegetation and marine life of the leeward side ecosystem. Beginners can learn to dive, sail and windsurf, and children can learn to explore open waters in the shallow safe environment.
